Meet Faebles

A bookshop built to wander

The Story of Faebles

Faebles began with a simple belief: stories have the power to give us somewhere else to go — and sometimes, they bring us exactly where we belong.

What started with a love of books, tea, and the magic of getting lost in a good story became something a little unconventional: a bookshop built to wander.

Today, Faebles brings the experience of an independent bookstore directly to readers throughout Coastal Georgia — one stop, one story, and one cup of tea at a time.

More Than a Bookstore

Books may fill our shelves, but community is at the heart of Faebles. From Reading Circle and the Traveling Tome to markets, pop-ups and bookish gatherings, we create opportunities for readers to discover something new, meet people who love stories as much as they do, and find a place where they belong.

Wherever the Carriage goes, everyone is welcome.

Meet Our Proprietress

Hi, I’m Shannon.

Reading has always been one of my favorite ways to escape the noise of the world — the stress, the negativity, and everything competing for our attention.

Faebles grew from my desire to share a little of that escape with others. I wanted to be out in the community, meeting readers in unexpected places and bringing stories to people.

Along the way, the people became one of my favorite parts. I love bonding over books and tea, swapping recommendations, and admiring our ever-growing collections of shelf trophies.

My hope is that whenever you step into the Carriage, the outside world gets a little quieter and you find yourself somewhere that feels magical, calm, and comforting.

That’s Faebles to me: stories, connection, and a little escape wherever you find us.
